Owned by Lakeside, the Chautauqua on Lake Erie, and the Lakeside Wooden Boat Society, a non-profit organization of Lakeside, ‘Amazing Grace’ was christened at the 5th Annual Lakeside Wooden Boat Show in July, 2008. Dwight Davis, owner of Classic Marine of Vickery, Ohio, began the restoration in October, 2007.

Ready for immediate use.  2003 restoration.  50hrs use of boat & on Hercules engine overhaul (gas miser).  Used only on Lake Erie/Lakeside.

Resin hull coating and “Awlgrip” type paint for durability & reduced maintenance.  Restoration include new decks, solid mahogany transom, new top/cover/cushions/bilge blower/horn/12v wiring/shaft log/shaft/relined gas tank/battery&box/boat hook.  Bilge stripped,sealed,4 coats bilge paint.  Decks varnished & bottom painted with VC17 every year.  Stored off season in heated garage. Originally built by the Richardson Boat Company of North Tonawanda, NY, her construction is typical of the ‘cottage craft’ of the 1920’s. Her restoration recreates the original colors and finish, utilizing the best of materials and craftsmanship.
