1937    32 ft. Richardson Daisy Canoe

 

 

 

 

 

Owned by Lakeside, the Chautauqua on Lake Erie, and the Lakeside Wooden Boat Society, a non-profit organization of Lakeside, ‘Amazing Grace’ was christened at the 5th Annual Lakeside Wooden Boat Show in July, 2008. Dwight Davis, owner of Classic Marine of Vickery, Ohio, began the restoration in October, 2007.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Originally built by the Richardson Boat Company of North Tonawanda, NY, her construction is typical of the ‘cottage craft’ of the 1920’s. Her restoration recreates the original colors and finish, utilizing the best of materials and craftsmanship.
